I agree with you.

Although I do think it's very good that they are putting out performence oriented, non-fugly looking electric cars. It's definitely a solid step in the right direction.

I think that a lot of the electric debate does not make sense. Yes to lower pollution in cities but that's where it stops today. I read that the lowest emission conventional Ford Focus emits less fumes per unit of energy used than an average power station. A plug in electric car just changes the site of the emissions. As does generating hydrogen using conventional power to electrolyse water.
Nuclear power is the way to go - generate electricity or make hydrogen with zero emissions and we could even get the Iranians to generate it for us.
