Fuel Consumption Chart

Here is a handy link to 2 seater fuel consumption chart at the same time to most 2 seater models.

That's true, at least in the US.

Still, I like the fact that I can get 30 mpg at 75 mph if I feel like it!

It looks like the mpg figures are based on imperial, not U.S., gallons.

It's not the cost of the fuel but mostly the planning of when to get more .....when you only have a 12 gal tank it can be difficult on long trips if you don't stay ahead of the game.

I also drive a pickup that gets 19 mpg I still need it half the time...even if it does cost lots to run

Well Memphis, one can compare many things, your favorite 2 cars for example or all the 2 seater sports cars. In fact you can compare your favorite Gallardo to the Z4 ... then why would you do it right ... driving is all we got those cars for

you are quite right fuel consumption is not a concern otherwise I would have not taken that long trip this past summer 13,303 KM (8,266 Miles). Every mile was great fun, well almost except for the last 3,000 KM or so (1,864 Miles) driving wit 2 hairline cracks in one wheel was no fun at all

What was your longest trip Memphis?

don't you drive too fast now, I know the RCMP is quite keen to take your car away for some joy riding

As for the truck, I don't need one I use my Jag, fold the back-seats down you be surprised how much I can haul with that babe. If I do need a truck my neighbor has one that he will let me drive anytime I need it, all I do is top up the tank

Ok, useful to some no doubt. How are the figures comparing to your real life experience though guys?

Last time I checked I think I was on 22.5 mpg - in a 23i... Apparently I should have bought a 35i for fuel efficiency gains lol

I took a very long vacation trip this past summer. All in all 13,303 KM before I left driving in the city and some highway driving my consumption was 10.5 L /100 KM.

About 6,000 KM into my vacation trip my consumption settled at 8.6 L / 100 KM and stayed there for the rest of the trip.

Now I am back at 9.2 L / 100 KM back home for the past 7 weeks.

I am happy with those results my Jag uses 14 L / 100 KM in comparison mostly city driving by my wife.

Did a quick conversion using WolframAlpha. Puts me down at 13L/100 apparently.

I suspect it must be all that hard driving us 23i'ers have do to to keep up

Yes the Sport Mode will eat a bit more fuel for sure however, what fun it is and the sound from the exhaust

cuff me in the head if I'm imagiing it but I get better mileage in Sport mode than Normal when I set the cruise on the highway. Sport + is a different story though.
It must be the finer throttle response that does it in Sport vs Normal but I get around 32mpg on the highway and 27 or 28 in the city. I even had 36mpg for a couple of tankfuls when I was on Interstates on the last big trip.

Sport + gives me around 23 mpg but the throttle is pressed a lot harder...

The Dinan remap did help the fuel economy....at least a couple of mpg anyway. The car is way more efficient wth the extra HP.
