Is it worth to go for Sport Seat?

I just ordered my Z4 35i, and I am still struggling whether I should opt for the Sport Seat. It costed around USD$ 2,000 (after tax) in where I live. Any suggestions?

Yes, get the Sports Seats! I think the base of the standard seat looks too flat.

They're also less sporty than they used to be, because there's less thigh support now (compared to the M seats in the E86).

Other than that I think I prefer them over the old ones.

I took sport seats, they are better than flat standard ones, and also if you go for manual sport seats, you can adjust bolster electrically, so you can find the best holdduring corners....

i would not get a bmw without a sport pkg. it's more than just seats. you get better wheels too which i always end up selling as I would replace them with aftermarket. In this case I always end up recooping my money.

If you have lover shortener than 5'3", try to ask whether she feels confortable. I like the sport seat, but finally ordered the standard one because of her comment

well, in that case; everyone will try to justify its choice ..
In my case, the answer is no:
Why ?
- did not want to spend more that 5000 EUR in options on the base s23i , so did prioritize options
- Had sport seats in previous bm and wanted to change
- the z4 normal seats are good and look good with enough boslter. they seem to be far better than normal seats in a series 3 for ex. besides, they dont look like "cheap standard seats" see picture. I am happy with it, and dont regret

In your case ?
Considering it is a s35i, actually may opt for it.. but seems to me very but very expensive in your country. just go to dealer, have a look, sit and decide.

The sports package was key to us as well. More than just seats, suspension, wheels, etc. However, having seats that were adjustable in MANY ways as well as having a memory is a huge option for us as I'm 6'2" and my wife is 5'3" so there's a lot of adjustment that needs to occur between the two of us to be comfortable and safe.

You have to go for the sports seats for sure...!! I bought the car without the sport seats and I delivered it and now I'm "crying"...

I have taken the sport seats but I think it would be ok without also.

One thing to consider: Since the sport seats have a firmer fit to your body you also tend to sweat more in them (which is bad since for the E89 there is no seat ventilation option available).

Obviously the firm fit comes in handy when you want to drive in a sporty way - but for normal driving I guess the normal seats will do just fine.

I am not sure whether I would order them again - but then my dream seat is the comfort seat from the 5 and 7 series...

I saw the standard seats in a Z4 this past weekend and I say yes, do not buy a car without the sport seats. The standard seats are a dissappointment.

I don't like the look of the sport seats. Especially the upper side view; bulky.

The standard E89 seats are softer and more comfortable then my previous E85 M-seats. So I didn’t order the sport seats on my 30i.

agreed i wouldnt get any bmw w/o the sport package. i def. feel its worth it for the seats and rims alone, but compare standard z4 seats to standard 3 series seats and they look and feel so much better. i think the daily driver who's not so car crazy and just wants a beautiful machine wouldn't mind not having the sport package. i on the other hand love being able to adjust those side bolsters.
