I think the biggest scam is the concept of payroll withholding. If everyone had to physically write a check at the end of the year for their taxes, there would be a revolt.

what if we all had to do it in cash, you are paid in cash and you have to count out 'your fair share'

Completely agree that America is the best, but generally speaking, taxes take away from the ideals that make this country great.
