Want some smoky stuff, but not afraid of spending $70 on it, try one of the Aberlour cask-strength. My current batch is 59.6%. Straight up. Smooth as silk.
Brother-in-law gave me a sip of the Jimmie Johnson moonshine Apple Pie he got at Costco, that shit is rank! But I got the blueberry (100 proof) and it's a bit better. "Definite overtones of rubbing alcohol" Local 805 is a nice brew I enjoy once in a while. |

If I drink alone its usually the finer stuff like Macallan 12, 15 or 18. Balvenie and Dalmore are very good as well. Other than that a nice German lager or sometimes certain IPA's.
At parties whatever is available I drink it. Vodka, tequila, whiskey, doesnt matter. The other day we went to a local German pub and had shots of Stroh 80. It tastes like jet fuel if anyone is wondering what it is lol. |

Green flash west coast IPA today.
I tried to get my dad to drink some really good IPAs and Belgian beers but he always prefers Budweiser. He told my mom not to ask me to bring beer anymore since I always pick up nasty tasting bitter beer haha.

Seeing a couple of horror stories, I had to weigh in on Gulden Draak which put a real hurtin' on me last year; I think because of the taste. Was at a party and it was on tap at the bar; people kept giving me glasses full the whole night - they kept trying it and didn't like it so they were giving theirs to me. I have no idea how much I drank, no idea how I got home. Got to the bathroom and passed out. My dog was crying over my body and nudging me with his nose to wake my sorry ass up. I think he really thought I was dead for a minute. My wife thought the whole thing was hilarious; I probably would've laughed too if I wasn't passed out.
Anyway, I felt really bad about my grieving dog and aside from a minor fog here and there, I haven't allowed a relapse since. |

New Belgium Ranger. Just came to my area a few weeks ago. Also, Chivas Regal 18 I received as a gift. Not bad at all.

Stopped by Napa and Sonoma last week so lots of wine. There was an open bar at my friend's wedding so drank a bunch of ice tea spiked with bourbon, etc.
