Wind Deflector is 100% a Necessity
Wind Deflector is 100% a Necessity.... I know some say it's useless etc...but.. tonight, I drove a Z4 30i top down with no wind deflector, and my neck and shoulder were FREEZING
I never get cold like that when I drive my Z4 with wind deflector Just thought I'd make a point lol Also, the 30i is quick! only on low end though, it has no go when you go WOT/are on the freeway. But around Hollywood and Sunset, it was great, bit more jumpy than I had expected

Don't have one and don't see the need. It's a convertible. A litle wind is part of the attraction. We drive top down most anytime it's not raining. No issues.

I love how the e93 has a better system. Shoulder and neck never get cold with the wind deflector

If not... Unfortunately you're not capable in saying whether or not it's worth it I've had convertibles and only convertibles in the past 3.5 years (considering I've only been driving for 7, that's half my lifetime of driving lol), and love the feeling of wind/ air But i hate cold air on my shoulder/neck as it causes me pains the next day :/.

Put on a sweater there Nancy
I don't have a deflector, but I do put all windows up at speeds above 60mph or so. At lower speeds, it seems fine to me (better than my previous convertibles). |

I had a dress shirt on I live in a valley, and it was about 75 degrees at 7PM I didn't expect it to drop to mid 60s once I hit Hollywood (outside of the valley) I was cold, but she was much colder, considering she was wearing a short skit and revealing top lol I usually use scarfs haha

Well, she did have the heated seats on and didn't complain, so I'm just assuming she was colder
Though Asian women tend to take the cold very well... I remember while living in Japan, girls would be in short skirts and it was SNOWING Not that I'm complaining or anything lol... I was just shocked. Women here cover up and still complain.. She did have my jacket on her lap :P

I drove top down yesterday to visit my folks in Brentwood and even though I have an OEM windscreen, it does help cut down the wind a bit. But it was still freezing for me at 68 degrees. I usually turn on the heat too.

when I drove my Z4 I would put the A/C on in the summer and heater on in late fall with the top down all was well
Then I am a hard nosed Northern Canadian ... going short sleeve in the late fall ...
