The 35is has the same engine as the 1M. what would make the is a full blown M is a suspension and brake upgrade. It is still a blast to drive in the real world.

I'm in a M3 right now but would be tempted by a Z4M. But, i would want a dedicated hardtop. The Z4 begs for a carbon fiber hardtop M version.

I agree a Z4 M with a carbon fibre hardtop would look real good ...

(hope someone from the M Division comes of this idea)

Edit ---> I think the ///M should make a Z4 M that would look something like the photo below ... and slap the crap out of Porsche 911, Audi R8 and even the GT-R herself. BMW would sell plenty of those if the price was right and the performance would be there. Honestly. I'm not wealthy but I would put a cook 100K on the table to have it in my stable

Not a bad idea when money is no object yes

What would that cost?

Rolf, my educated guess:

LSD = $2,500
FMIC = $1,000
BBS = $5,000
Eisenmann exhaust = $3,000
ESS tune = $1,000

Not bad in my opinion for one of the best looking little hot rods around and you could save a ton if you axed the forged BBS at $5k and went to the BBS CH-R. Our car may already have most of this installed and looking for an LSD or BBS for Christmas.

Good luck with that, sounds like a super upgrade. For the LSD, you feel it be worth the $2,500- for that minor gearing ratio upgrade from the now stock you have?

Anyway, hope Santa will bring you the BBS wrapped in a red ribbon in your garage
