Even the JB+ at 100%, which I am currently running while waiting for a suitable flash, makes 358 lb/ft of torque to the wheels which exceeds the limit of the DCT. Oddly, the old steptronic handled more torque than the brand new state of the art DCT trasmission.
My guess on the DCT limitation is the dual clutches force the components to be a smaller size to fit, therefore reducing their torque capacity.

That would also limit the HP to about 380 depending on how the torque falls off at high RPMs.
I went to Glenndale, CA, today and saw Steve Dinan, and met his wife, too, as she drove down with him, and she was very nice as well. Me and another guy (I can never remember names) who was a member of the LA Chapter of the BMW CCA talked with Steve for about 45 minutes. I'll be doing a write up and post it on the forum shortly covering the three or four topics I discussed with Steve before other people pulled him away.

He says he's not too worried about the BMW imposed limit on its Z4 DCT. He'll says the Z4 w/ n54 mil will be tuned to the same specs as the 335i, across the various stages. He indicated they have the n54 Z4 on the dino now and hopefully the tune will should be out for sale before the end of the year.

I was hoping for sooner than that. Oh well. The JB+ will have to do until the Dinan flash is ready. Thanks for the info.
