296 Wheel Manufacturer .... is it or could it be?

Now that I have my 296 wheel in my garage all cleaned and polished with a nice crack I found a name and number inside nicely stenciled in blue it reads ...

AONAL 08114 ... I tried to find find a site on the net ... came out blank, so after having a real close look the "A" is actually a "R"

So back to faithful Google entering Wheels RONAL ...

Brings up the the UK Site

So lets see now ... my pride and joy has wheels made in the UK, tires designed in Italy and then the tires are manufactured in Japan. How lucky can one be

Ronal is a lower end wheel manufacturer. I am surprised that BMW went with them. Usually BMW uses BBS.

I believe Ronal is a Swiss company [founded in 1969] who also make wheels under the Speedline Corsa brand [used for Formula 1, World Rally, Super Touring and GT Racing under the FIA umbrella] as well as showers in addition to supplying wheels to:

Mazda, Ford, BMW, Porsche, SAAB, Seat, Mitsubishi, Skoda, Renault, VW, Mini, Audi, Citroen, Opel, Peugeot, Bentley, Mercedes Benz, AMG, SMART, Subaru, Aston Martin, Maserati, Chevrolet, Lexus, Ferrari, Fiat, Lamborghini, DAF, Volvo, MAN, IVECO

Ditto. I always thought BMW uses wheels manufactured by BBS. If only the Z4 would come with some BBS RE-V I'd be in heaven .

if they were ''lower end'' i highly doubt that bmw would've used them.
plus they probably chose ronal to save on costs.

Ronal is one of the biggest source for alloys.....quality/price is really good.....BBS, for example, isn't big enough to produce millions of alloys every year.....

I stand corrected, apparently Ronal is a Swiss Wheel Manufacturer ...

German Web Site here

The web site I found (original post) made me believe it is a UK manufacturer.

My bad

BBS RE-V - are they even available for the e89? I have been seriously looking at new wheels for a while now. My favorites are the Volk VR.G2s or the VR.G7s at the moment but these RE-Vs are gorgeous. The key for me is a big weight savings from OEM with the thought if I am going to spend $4k plus on wheels we might as well increase performance via serious weight savings.

Second that. 18" BBS RE with Michelin PS2 will be my Z4's next shoes once the current tires are worn out. The 17" 292 wheels will be shod with Blizzaks and become my winter set.

Available, yes. Cheap, no. The RE-V is a Japan only forged wheel. US MSRP is $5280. That doesn't include shipping, import tax etc. etc. Here's a list of all available sizes http://www.bbs-japan.co.jp/pro/pro_rev.html.

Only if the RK was still in production... I had them on my Z3. Loved the lightweight of these wheels.

Can't say for fact, but I understand the 330i front brakes will fit e89 Z4.

I loved it too, I had the RK2 on my Z3 about 10 years ago.
