Software update = Less power?

My car just got back for some minor service. The dealer installed the newest software update and the car feels less responsive.

Is this just my imagination or has anyone else had the same experience?

You may have to drive it for a while for it to "relearn" your driving style.

Got my software update several weeks ago, and it does set everything back to square 1, but once it has relearned my driving style it returned to its former glory...give it a few days

I recall reading on this forum that another poster stated the same thing. He brought his car in for service and the service department did a software update and he stated that his felt sluggish. You may want to search the forum for the thread.

If you feel that go to the dealer and tell them to reset the adaptive learning in the gear box.
it can only be done at the dealer then they will drive it for a while through all the gears to teach it a bit. after that it will be a whole new car.

This is what my dealership told me, too. But I've driven it for over a week after the update. It hasn't burped once on up-gears (DCT), and feels kinda unresponsive/sluggish. I AM trying to make it "re-learn" but still feel a tad bit slower and I have pretty much given up on the "burps" and gurgles...

Feeling disappointed because this is definitely not what I paid for...

If anyone knows how I could get my burps back, please let me know!

It's funny, I still get the "burps" but I feel some turbo lag.

Someone posted ages ago about losing the burps/farts and perceived loss of power. I think he reset his DCT and they came back. Should come up in a search.

You can reset adaptations by using a Bavarian Technic tool that connects to the OBD2 port and your laptop.

why not reset your DCT?

But the newest update does 'cut' power

it's to make the HPFP last longer

I remember they did it on my e93

Well, has there be any dynos before/after to quantitatively prove a 'cut' in power?

A loss of power noticeable to the butt dyno would surely show up evidently on a real dyno.

The "butt" dyno isn't a real dyno? When did that happen!?!?
