WTB: Painted rear license plate bracket

It was time to remove ED plate and install the factory black plastice plate bracket and our new state plate. But dang, the car is alpine white, the plate is rather white (Washington), and the plastic bracket is black. Looks like crap to me. I googled E89 rear license plate bracket, but had no success. Does anyone know a shop that sells color-matched brackets? Otherwise I may have this painted to match.

Seems like a cheesy retro-fit from BMW to get our US plates to fit.

i think that the easiest (and cheapest) way to go is painting the one you already have in white.

I had the frt & rear plate adapters painted to match. As you noted the black plastic is so tacky. Much easier to clean a nice smooth surface as well. Paint & labor for both was $120. Never let the dealer mount your frt plate bracket. I mounted mine myself so it does not cover the lower portion of the grills.

Next up the the M Aero Frt bumper goes to the paint shop. Then R&R the bumper and move the plate over.

Bought a can of plastic prep, a can of color matched for the paint and a can of clearcoat and did my own for about $40. Did the bracket and the plate frame.
