BMW Pulls Manual Transmissions From 3 Models

According to Roundel (BMW Club Magazine) -

Lackluster sales of cars with manual transmissions was the reason BMW gave for discontinuing that option on three models: the 2016 BMW 228i, 328i, and 428i. From now on, those cars can only be had with automatics.

Evidently most won't care (which is why they are going away) but I thought it was interesting.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is like the 10th time someone has posted this. The information is incorrect. Bmw still offers manuals for those cars. 6spd days are numbered though. Very sad

It appeared that BMW dropped manual transmissions from its online configurators when all this news bubbled up. Manuals are still available for purchase in these models and shown in the configurator. Days are numbered indeed.
