Confirmation of tire size
I'm getting rid of the run flats on my 2010 3.0 Z4 6 spd. I've ordered TSW Bathurst rotary forged 18x8.5 ET35 front wheels and 18x9.5 ET39 rear wheels. I've upgraded my suspension with Koni FSD shocks and H&R sway bars but have left the stock springs. I've chosen to use Michelin Pilot Sport tires. I know the 3.5is 225 front and 255 rear combination will work. I'd like to run 235/40ZR18's on the front and 265/35ZR18's on the rear. Has anyone run this combination with the non sport suspension stock springs? Looking for conformation this combo will work. Thanks.

I'm running 245/40/19's in the front and 275/35/19's in the rear on coilovers. I'm lowered to the extent that there is no wheel gap. No rubbing at all.

245/40/19's in the front and 275/35/19's are way to tall.
Front 225/35/19 is stock. total diameter is 25.2 inch your size is 26.72 inch over 1.5 inch, that's nearly 6% larger diameter. my recommendation is 235/35/19 which is about .25 inch larger and about 1% bigger in diamert. Rear 255/30/19 is stock your size again is over 1.55 inch taller again nearly 6 % my recommendation is 265 35 19 which is less then .25 inch and less than 1%. Now you didn't talk about rims size or offset so I assume you are running stock. But just because it doesn't rub, doesn't mean it fits. but its your car / money and choice. |
