Front amber turn signals - LED?
Anyone change these out to LED? I know the angel lights is a quick and easy change, but I havent tried these. If you have done it, what is your verdict?

I've also done it...love it not only because it's brighter, with the more modern instant on/off, but because it removes that ugly amber "yolk" in the side of the headlight. And like jparnes said, easy to do.

The only issue is that they can flicker at night when the bulb test cycle occurs every few minutes and at start up. You can have it coded out tho apparently.

I wouldn't even call it an issue. It looks pretty sweet. The flickering is the bulb testing itself...with the standard halogen bulbs, the test isn't long enough to generate any light output, but with the LED's (being instant on/off), they flicker. It's not just at night; it's every start up, and occurs at a set interval whenever the car is on, to continue to test that the bulbs are functional.

Actually front turn signals can be white or amber; rear can be amber or red. http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d12/vc24953.htm
But I also went with amber since I think it looks better. I don't have any pictures. |

Pete that's for California. I should have specified. NY requires Amber up front and red or amber in the back. http://dmv.ny.gov/forms/mv529.pdf

OK thanks - Amber installed.
When you start the car, the left front turn signal flickered during approx 5 sec. Annoying. Anyone else is facing this ? |

Yes, in front of the wheel well is a flap. Just turn the wheel all the way to the right for the left side and vise versa. drop the flap and you'll see the bulb.

OK, got the bulbs, removed the flap only to find the plastic knob will not budge (turn left) so I cant remove the bulb. Seems to be sealed shut with all the dirt and grime. Dont want to force it with pliers. Any suggestions? Would spraying a lubricant in that area be safe?

Soak it with WD 40 from the back. Then use a pair of needle nose pliers to gently put forward pressure on the bulb base and at the same time Turn ir very slightly counterclockwise to begin to loosen it and move it back and forth. This will work it loose. |
