Ever got caught speeding with your Z4 ???
If you ever get stopped and the Officer / State Trooper ever opens with
"I've been waiting for you all day" then perhaps you can use this line ....  The cop got out of his car and the kid who was stopped for speeding rolled down his window. 'I've been waiting for you all day,' the cop said. The kid replied, 'Yeah, well I got here as fast as I could.' When the cop finally stopped laughing, he sent the kid on his way without a ticket.  what's your story? or did you outrun him?

italian cops nowadays has got less sense of humor....
times ago he stopped me and told me "just in case you get lost,Monza is 30kms from here".....no ticket, but a little suggestion to go slow as new rules on driving licence are harder.. |

2005 M3 --- No Tickets 2009 Z4 --- None Yet 2006 Volvo XC70 --- One speeding ticket, the damned thing rolled up the speed going down a hill.

Not yet in the Z4, but I'm working on it! I'm in this weird cycle where I'll go 3 years without a ticket then get like 3 in a row.
My last one was 89 in a 45 zone (speed limit left over from construction on the interstate, even though the construction had been completed for 3 months  ), passing while going downhill in my IS350. Could have been ugly because in CT it's statutory reckless driving above 85. Hard to keep those 300 horses in check!Anyway the cop admired my car and downgraded it to a simple speeding ticket.

In my pickup : I got busted for doing 77 in a 50, problem was that I was only doing 53 !! Went to court and heard all about how the cop set the radar and calibrated it etc...blah blah blah, rehearsed a hundred times. Too bad he didn't have an answer for my statement that "he was walking across the road to stop the car 100 yards in front of me, as I passed the speed zone sign". The judge got all politically correct with his reasoning and tossed it out. I think he may have had a chat with the cop later.
The idiot had set his radar for the " 50kmh AHEAD" sign instead of the actual speed zone. I was doing 77 at the first sign 'coz the limit was 80.

For me it was 25 years without a single speeding ticket but since....
One in my '99 540i and one in my '08 550i 1 1/2 years ago. It was a 70 in a 55 reduced to a 59 in a 55 so no points or insurance.

Speed ticket.
My last speed ticket when 19 years old. Now I 47 and drive the 35I get already 2. Even one where they seizure it for 5 day's, and need pay 1000 qtr, That's about 217 euro.
But I lucky did get it back, now I try to go slow.  |

The Zed 4 was a graduation gift from my parents. The first day I get the car I got pulled over for doing 60 mph in a 40. Needless to say, the folks were not pleased.
I have been driving like an old man ever since. |

Dont underrate the effort taken to graduate...
Just makes the blender I was given for my graduation present (a PhD) seem a little crappy...

Sadly, no.
I never used the degree (Physics) to make money. They dont pay academics that well over here so I went out and worked in the mines instead... And until my Angel investments come home... the Z4 is a damn fine placeholder for the Ferrari California I dream of. Mind you, I'm starting to wonder if I need it now. The Z4 is that good! Oh, and the blender was a cheapie - lasted about 3 days longer than the warranty.
