Thanks!

I also tried to retrofit smokers package at the dealer but BMW says there is no elecrical wire drawn to connect the lighter so they can not do this. So why are they selling the package? Didn't get an answer.

Must be a lot of elecrical wires in the area. I really need another 12v outlet.
I have it in my 2009

solgain@mac.com, no disrespect, but you created a loop between posts. This post (page #2) has all the info needed on the 12volt outlet.

Thanks for all the info on the shelves. I checked again and there is nothing anywhere in my trunk or anywhere else. I picked up my Z4 back in January so gonna check back with the dealer and see what's up. Thanks again everyone!

Neither is standard. I believe it comes with a package. If you get one, you get the other(shelves and ski bag). I can't remember which package it came with.

I got the skibag with the cold weather package, but it's also available as a separate option (US$195) named "Through-loading system with integrated transport bag".

They must have made that a stand alone option with the 2011's.
