Disabling ActiveSound

I have a 2015 z4 28i. I do not have the navigation system.

I want to turn off ActiveSound to at least find out what the real sound of the car is. The Android coding solutions do not expose a setting for it.

I wonder whether anybody can tell me where the module is physically located? I assume behind the wall behind the seats. How do I remove that trim?

There is a picture here with its brace. But there is no diagram where in the car it is located.

you could try pulling the fuse for the stereo.. no speakers should equal no active sound
