Hello guys I just bought my 2012 z4 about 1 month ago, but after I put on new rims and tires my steering wheel start to vibrate a little at higher speed around 60, discount tire balanced the tires 4 times and replace the brand new tires twice but the vibration is still there. What can be the problem? thanks The car is brand new

Hi. what size/make of rims and tyres have you put on?????
Any vibration at around 60mph is normally wheel balance especially on a new car!!! A discount tyre balancing place might not be the ideal, they could have faulty equipment.....

I had this experience on a different car and it was a bad tire. Fortunately those wheels weren't staggered so I could swap front and rear and see that the vibration went away. You can do that with the Z4. I think Discount Tire needs to stand behind there products/wok and solve your problem.

I'd say you might have a buckled rim.

Jack the car up at the wheel and rotate it by hand and look at the inside of the rim as it spins.

Modern alloys are very easily bent and very often balance out ok but still vibrate at certain speeds.

the rims are from vmr vb3

Have you gone for 20" rims for example? Plus what size tyres? Often people who go for larger rims do begin to have issues with wheel balance amongst other things!!

It is one of two possibilities: 1) a tire(s) is not balanced properly (so, have this re-done to make sure), or 2) a rim/wheel is bent, and this no amount of wheel balancing will fix that problem. When Discount Tire is re-balancing all of the wheels/tires, they can tell you if it is a bent rim.
