A few photos from our recent ED - which were 18 fantastic days in Germany.

Wow that's a pretty crazy combo! I'm guessing you really love red!

Hi everyone. I'm Rob from the Seattle area. I joined a couple months ago when I got my black on black 2010 3.5 with manual trans. I had a 2004 545i before this car. I love my Z4. Every day I get a huge smile on my face when I get in it.

I really like this forum and look forward to contributing more.

Found this forum randomly through searching on Google.
I've been in the VAG scene for all my driving life and still own a modified Audi A3 2.0T with APR Stg 2+ and BUNCH more.

Been in NY, USA for 10 years but just recently moved to Amsterdam and bought the new Z4 a few days ago. I'm still waiting for the dealer to prep, register the vehicle for me. Hopefully I will get the car sometime next week since they told me it will most likely take about 5 business days for the plates and such...

My A3 is still in NY but I'm trying to find a way to bring it over here...
Only picture I have of the Z4 is an iPhone picture I took at the dealership in Amsterdam.

Oh and btw, this is actually my very first bimmer

I will take some quality pictures when I pick up the car next week and post a formal introduction and show off some of my previous VAG cars too

This will have to do for now though...

Hope to learn a lot from this board since i'm a noob to the bimmer world

I just got a call from the dealership, they said the car will be ready for pickup by next saturday But my sales rep is trying to hurry things up a bit to make it happen a few days earlier.

I don't understand.... things usually take 3 days TOPS in america... no matter what car you are buying.... Over here it's taking 2 weeks... wow :P

Takes sometime if your car needs license plates and bpm needs to be paid by the dealer. Usually 5 working days in total.
I guess they were late with submiting something.
Well better next Saturday 'cause next Monday it will rain for a few days...

Yeah, I was first informed that it will take 5 business days...
Then it should've been next tuesday lol

I REALLY hope it doesn't rain when I pick her up....
Every car I owned in the past, it always rained on the day of the pickup

Kris, you live in A'veen? or A'dam?
Today would have been the perfect day to pick up the car, such a nice weather today! Wat een mooi weer!

Nice car Kevin! Welcome to the forum! Hope your wait will not be too long for the new one (I had a Alpine White 2008 loved the exterior, drove it for 10 months then traded it for the 2009 Z4 3.5i) Enjoy your car when you get it.

Just noticed when I clicked your name, but not such an option for yoonskim. Probably a setting in a profile.

By the way is there a special rim topic and topic about rims/ winter tyres?

Memphis1 - excellent idea!

Howdy all. I'm Don, and I've had impure thoughts about BMWs for 6 years. OK - so this isn't quite AA. Seriously, I'm a serving member of the Canadian Air Force, working in Belgium at SHAPE, and returning to Canada this summer. Movin' to Winnipeg and flying a desk at the air force headquarters there. My wife and I love our Z4 (it's actually hers!), and I was converted to the bimmer way of life with my 528i. I've had a few interesting cars over the past 30+ years, including a '67 Triumph GT6, '94 Ford Probe GT, '68 Firebird 350, '67 Skylark, and yes a '78 Landcruiser Pickup FJ45. Man, that was my favourite truck by far, and completely indestructible - Mcbeee - I hear ya!

Here's a couple of pics for the record.

And the 5er

Welcome cdmulders to the forum, nice car! In case you have not seen the post(s) on special Z4 luggage one can get in Germany. Here is the site in case you like to get a set before your return to Canada.

I see that's a US/Canada spec Z4 with the mandatory orange sidemarkers along the fender lines. Did you buy the car in NA and bring it over to Belgium? And bring it back?

I still have my modified Audi A3 2.0T in NYC that I really want/need to bring over here to Amsterdam Any advices?

There's a company handling shipping from USA and taking care of the import handling.

See http://www.carimportservice.nl/prijzen.php
Pricing:
Keuring en inschrijving bij auto uit USA (i.c.m. transport) € 1650,
(in dutch)

You imigrated to the Netherlands, there is also a rule somewhere you can import once a car duty free if you import it within 12 months after your registration in the Netherlands.
