Is 35i Clutch Any Heavier then 28i?
I'm thinking about getting a 6MT 35i which is a rare beast to find on a lot.
I've driven a 6MT 28i and was honestly disappointed with the clutch feel/release compared to both E9X M3 and even my old Z3 5MT (which does have a short shift). The E89 clutch on the 28i is so light and the release is at the very top. It was really hard to get a smooth drive in it and it just felt like they just slammed in a setup from another model and didn't adjust it at all. It made the 8AT look brilllant which is shocking, but I'm never going to buy an AT - j Does 35i clutch have any more resistance then a 28i? Is the E89 clutch throw adjustable? Does anyone have a sport clutch and pressure plate that is beefier that they like? |

The release point on my 35i is about 2/3 of the way down. It is not a heavy clutch, no BMW has a heavy clutch. If you want heavy, you gotta go to Porsche.
