I will be participating in this event in Half Moon Bay on 11/7. I'm scheduled for the X6-M. I was only given 1 option as I wanted to also drive an M3. Did they let you drive it hard? Looking forward to it.

They give you a map of a route to follow and you drive by yourself, they tell you to mess with the settings and obey local speed limits. I drove the X6 M and after I got back six people had gotten tickets on the M3s. I was there at 10am and after I drove the X6 I walked over to the lady doing the sign in and asked her if there was a no show if she could let me have a go on an m3. I waited a couple of hours but it was fun. You get to drive it for like a half hour which is plenty I think.

Thanks for the details Memphis1. I'll give that a try. Although here in CA there are so many BMW enthusiast, I'll see if I get lucky to drive an M3.
