Headlights: change from RHD (rhigt hand driver) to LHD (left hand diver)

Hello everyone,
I live in Spain and bought a UK English Z4 E89 (2011).
The car did not pass the mandatory technical check because the headlights are UK and do not comply with European rules (the UK light beam dazzles the other cars).
I'm lloking for info on the internet and there seems to be a lever in some Z4's projectors to change from RHD (right hand driver UK) to LHD (European left hand driver).
Now, I contacted my BMW mechanic (who contacted BMW) who says the only solution is to change both headlights (2,000 Euros!)
Has anyone had this kind of problem? how do i know if my headlights have this famous lever to convert or not? how can I verify it? there is an official document (pdf or web link) that can certify the existence of this lever?

E85 have a lever, because they are twin beam.
E89 hasn't, as it uses a shaped shutter to create the beam from the single HID projector.
