FS: E85 LPFP Bucket Assembly.
I have a custom built E85 LPFP. I have been running it in my car over the past 4 months and I am considering selling it. I built the LPFP myself with the following parts: AEM 50-1200 E85 320LPH pump Stock E89 LPFP Bucket Gates Submersible E85 Fuel Hose ABA Mini 22014 9mm SS Clamps I have been using a Custom PTF E50 tune and this LPFP worked great. I originally used a Walbro 450 pump and I had a lot of issues with oscillation and noise. The Z4 LPFP system is setup differently than the 335i and 135i because our setup does not have a LPFP sensor. I have not experienced any of the problems that I had with the Walbro pump with this AEM pump. You can use either E85 or any other fuel with this pump. I have been using only 93 octane over the past month. It is fairly easy to install. Run your car until the mileage to empty is at 0 Lift your car and remove the exhaust. Remove Heat Shield Disconnect Fuel hose Remove fuel pump cover on gas tank (You don't need a special tool) Disconnect fuel lines and electrical connection inside the tank Remove LPFP Put back together in reverse order. The pump is still in my car so I don't have any pictures at this point. Last edited by Lambobimmer; 12-26-2014 at 05:54 PM.. |

This is why I am selling it:
There is only one E85 gas station in the Charlotte area and it is not convenient for me. It is about 40 miles round trip to get E85 and I am tired of making that trip. I am sure that I miss the power but I just don't have the time to make that trip anymore. |
Appreciate
