Can anyone tell me how to safely remove the kidney grilles? I'm going to plasti-dip them to matte black tonight.

*Edit*
Wow, I scrolled down a bit and this is a repost! Ignore this!

Just did this Sunday night - if you need pictures, let me know.

Few tips:

Instead of using your fingers, use something with a right angle on it - I used a trim removal tool, saving my fingers.

A few of the clips came out forcefully, bu the bumper is made of flexible material so no harm done.

It's easy to remove the air cleaner for top access to the rear of the grills, 4 screws and pry out connection to air filter housing. Need thin arms though. (PS - clean your grill while you are there).

Once you get one out - don't get over anxious and put the new one it yet. Take both sides out (don't ask....)

Take your time....

You can ask a BMW tech if you don't believe me but they hold on tight to each side of the grill and pull swiftly. They will come right out.

I already got it, it was just a little uncomfortable pulling on them. Thank you anyway!
