rear sway bar

I tried to search the rear sway bar DIY, but I can't find any. Do I have to lower the subframe in order to change it? Thank you.

OP, before you mod the sway bar, how about making some alignment changes first? I was happier with the car (a bit more neutral) by changing the rear toe settings

Thanks. What's your current setting? I can ask the alignment shop to try that. Do you think a bigger rear sway bar is too much for this car?

Here are my current settings (in degrees). I'm not going to claim them as "optimal" but I like them.

FL
camber -0.5
caster 6.6
toe 0.14
SAI 13.9
Included angle 13.4

FR
camber -0.9
caster 6.5
toe 0.14
SAI 14.8
Included angle 13.9

cross camber 0.3
cross caster 0.1
total toe 0.28

RL
camber -1.6
toe 0.12

RR
camber -1.6
toe 0.12

total toe 0.24
thrust angle 0

From the factory the rear settings were camber -2.1 degrees and toe 0.18 degrees. Car was previously a bit understeering and with the decrease in negative camber and decrease in positive toe in the rear it got a bit more neutral

Good luck.

I wouldn't say a rear bar is too much, I just think its more $ than an alignment and might be worth your while to try cheaper stuff first

my current rear camber is -2.0 with 9.5" wheel et25 275 tires. The reason why i want a rear sway bar is not just correct the understeering. I want to reduce the body roll to the old 987 level.

That's going to be tough to make a 3500lb FR car feel like a <3000lb MR car....

Not sure if I'd personally prioritize the sway bar. How about something like KW v3 suspension kit?

v3 is like 10 times more expensive than just the sway bar. I'm having adaptive suspension right now, not sure how will the kw module works with the computer. Plus i used to have the v3 on my e90, it was very good for first 10k miles. But after that, I have to keep making it stiffer and stiffer until 1 click to max out the compress and rebound. Maybe I just ask too much out of the e89.

kw would require you to put in a bypass of the electric dampers.

not sure though if sway bar is going to help with roll but stiffer dampers and springs would
