Premium sound help.

I have searched the forum high and low, read the owners manual and now I need some help. We have the premium sound package in our "is". I cannot find the menu option to set the surround sound feature. I believe it has "cinema, concert, etc". I have founf "gong" and set the EQ but unable to locate the surround feature. Can someone help guide this inept owner to the proper menu? Car does not have Nav so no i-Drive.

As far as I know, the only setting is "Surround", either on or off. It is on the same screen as tone & EQ. There are no Concert Hall or similar options.

yes, only "surround"; can't help because we have the i-Drive and if I remember the manual correctly you can only select the surround option if you have Navigation/iDrive (sorry for the potentially bad news). on the plus side, I can't really tell the difference.

I think you only get the different modes like 'Concert Hall', 'Jazz', 'Rock' etc when the car is equipped with a Logic7 system. Our 5 series has Logic7 so I do get all of those different audio modes. On our Zed with premium audio 'Surround' is all you get as far as I know.

Thanks all. I will look at the EQ menu for that. The manual for the radio talks about various effects settings. I assumed it was similar to our old 5-series. Talk about driving me crazy trying to locate what isn't there. lol.

I've got logic 7 sound upgrade on my 35i and it's only got surround on/off. that's it. No preset EQ settings. All manual.
