How to differentiate the different stereo options?

2) the Premium system, whatever that means, but it is really good albeit overpriced.

No. I read somewhere here that window stickers are not required in Canada? I have a 'regular' sheet that states the package I chose, not the individual items.

I assume the number is the total maximum power of the amplifier.

Wow, the std is really low and even the mid-range system is not close to the top line one.

What are the codes exactly? I believe I got what I purchased, i.e. no funny biz from my dealer.

I don't think you got ripped off, but if you're anything like me you're curious about the particulars of the packages and the individual items they contain.

Another way of saying it is the "build sheet" that the dealer puts together at the time he orders a car.

Here's an example of US spec MY 2010 35i Premium Package codes along with individual options. Note this is not official info from a dealer per se, just my own spreadsheet.

I'm not sure if these configurations are same in other countries.

I have #2 and just like to confirm the speakers' locations/function:
-1 tweeter near side mirror
-1 mid in door
-1 mid beside seat
-1 mid beside feet
(x2, so 8 speakers here)
-2 subwoofers, 1 each behind seat
-1 mid behind/between seats
-1 mid on center of dashboard
=12 speakers total

If you have both center speakers, one in the dashboard and one behind the seat, it is confirmed that you have system #2.

Actually FYI the middle speaker grill in the back between the seats has 2 speakers (mid & tweeter) and as Memphis stated behind the grill on the dash 2 speakers. There is only one speaker behind the grill next to each seat. So 12 grills & 14 speakers. I was digging through BMWfans.info for some parts for the wifes 325 and took a quick detour through Z89 land.
