Speedy Recovery Jada or as we say in German "Gute Besserung"

PS. Remember now set the memory 1 and 2 for driving and getting in and out of your car once you are ready to go again

Good luck, Jayda, but I know you'll do well! It's coming up in just a few days, right? Keep us informed.

I've got a "bad transmission" as my friend calls it. I beat my hip up at the young at of 46 after a lifetime of sport (gymnastics, tennis and distance running). I'll be having an artificial hip joint placed on Monday! Tomorrow though the Z4 gets good bath before a short hibernation (compared to some on this board). Hope to be back behind the wheel in 4 weeks! Dang, I just got the car about 45 days ago!

Good luck on Monday, I'll blow one of my birthday cake candles out just for you. We WILL need a post-op report as soon as you have access.

Mine is napping in the garage but I'll take her out on nice sunny days as long as the streets are dry.

My friend who happened to be an athlete have had that same hip joint replacement and now his "chasis" is stronger than before "titanium" :-)
Good luck on monday, after recovery you'll be hungry to drive your Z as day-1.
let us know when your hibernation is over by posting some pics for us.

Perfect weather here as well. In fact for the next 6 months if you don't mind an occasional dip into the 40's.

you'd better not start it at all unplug the battery or put a tender on it and leave it alone.

Never hibernating here in the Northeast. If the roads are dry, I drive my Z4. I have a 4x4 Explorer Sport Trac if there is snow or crappy weather. I could never get through the winter without driving my car. I hate winter as it is; that would make it even more unbearable.

The plus side to a Z4 in Hawaii is evident tn the photo, the minus side:
  • Highest speed limit, 55, rarely.
  • Poorly engineered narrow roads.
  • Thousands of hidden driveways.
The positive outweighs the negative year round!

Never hibernating as it's my only car. Feel confident in it though, car handles nicely all-weather round.

Would love to do the road to Hana in this if it wasn't for all the single lane bridges and the millions of other tourists.
