Yeah, it does not unscrew. It just turns until the tabs are free then you need to wiggle hard to loosen them off. I almost lost my fingers in the process.

Just to be clear. In the US only the front signals can be amber or white. The rear can be amber or red.

I do remember that in France they were always amber. Not sure how the regulation is anymore.
In the US we suffer from having these weird and ugly reflectors (yellow front and red in the rear) though which seem completely useless to me.
