Most complete BMW wheel listing http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/

The front wheel will fit
The rear won't fit. The offset is too low

Factory specs for 8" front is 29mm
for 8.5" 25mm-32 should be ok
The rear at 9" need to be 40mm so at 9.5" you need to be 40-50mm I would think.

Here is also an offset calculator. It does not tell you whether it will fit but it does give you an idea of what the impact of the offset is.

This is a good thread for wheel reference !

I just loaded three of my original 18" 220m OEM rims into my 535is Garage.

The three wheel shots are taken on my former Z4 35i the wheels are OEM 220m wheels 18" with winter tires purchased from BMW originally for my then 2002 M3. As can be seen they fit perfectly.

I just wanted to confirm to you fellows that there is no issue to fit the 220m wheel onto the Z4. In fact I found them rather sharp looking when I run them as my winter tires.

Fantastic.
Great info.and Thanx.
Your 220 wheels are in 18. I am assuming 8" front and 8.5" in the rear? Correct

The ones in the pictures are same size on all four corners as they are winter rims and tires. BMW sells winter sets all the same size. I used the winter set on my e46 then on the e89 and later on the e92.

You can order them in offset sizes if you wish, however, for the Z4 there is no need to do so they look just fine for front and back locations. On a e9x model you would need a spacer in the back for the same size winter set to look good. You will see what I mean when you look closely at my former e92 that I traded in for a DCT e92. Without rear spacers they sort of look funny

Take note that BMW does not recommend to use spacers on your car ... I never used spacers since I agree with this. For the short periods I took my car for a spin during the winter time (more or less around the block) I don't much care how the rear wheels look.

If you plan to use them on your Z4 then you should order them with the right off-set for your car. The BMW parts fellows can help you out with that. Good luck!

I too love them since they were on my e46, so I don't much care for other wheels. Having set that I will be looking at a nice unique forged set as a summer set for my e92 this week and might just purchase them. Time will tell.

Sorry I don't have a side shot when the winter set was on my Z4. I can only tell you that they do look sharp. Then again it is a matter of personal preference.

All sizes (offset, diameter and width) are also available on realoem but it will take some clicking to find those you want to compare.

Okay ... found 2 side shots in my photo archives of my former z4 35i one with summer wheels the 296 oem wheels and the other with the winter set oem 220m wheels with Michelin winter tires on 18 inch wheels same size on all 4 corners as sold by BMW to me in 2004 for my then e46. For side shots see post no. 7 above, the rear can use a spacer, something BMW does not recommend.

Hope this helps

Thanx for the pic's. I see what you mean with the same size 18" wheel for F and R. The rear wheel does look as if it is smaller (lost) in the wheel well. I like the look and think the 19 in the bling (chrome) would look great. But the above set in 19 x 9.5 and needing a larger spacer, I will take the advise/recommendation of not installing a spacer and find wheels with the correct offset.

Just note that the spacer can only reduce the offset, It cannot increase it. No spacer would make those 9.5" fit correctly.
In other words, these rear wheels would stick out too much from the wheel well, and spacers can only make them stick out more.

Rafale and all- Thanx for the info.
I am just learning about the offset and spacers (staying away per this site and BMW recommendations) so all info is good info. Keep it coming.
In determining the correct size for a new set of 19" wheels, I am assuming (Yikes to assume) that the dealer will have the correct size offset needed for each of the F and R wheels?
Is there a standard to start from for the Zed? You gave me the following info already: and the offset calculator

Factory specs for 8" front is 29mm
for 8.5" 25mm-32 should be ok

Thanx in advance

If you could source a used set of original 19'' 220m wheels you would be set, since you like the design.

I once test mounted a set on mine and everything was within specs, plus you 'll get a genuine forged set of wheels at a ridiculously low price these days and you can get them mirror painted anytime.

You can mount no problem a 8,5'' wide FRONT wheel with an offset range of 22-35 (22 looks perfect imo) and a 9,5'' wide REAR with et 35-43. ET 35 and lower might rub depending on tire choice. Or a 10'' wide REAR with et 39-44. Et 46 and above will rub on the inside.

Rolf-D, are you positive that your 18'' wheels are also 220m? I didn't know they were also available in that diameter.

Where did you get the 220m wheels? How much did you pay?

Yes it is a 18" BMW 220m winter set.

The set same size all around purchased from BMW in Edmonton in 2004 for my then e46 M3. BMW only sells the winter set in the same size for all 4 corners. Later I used them in the winter time on my then Z4 35i as per photos in previous posts.

My e46 (photo in my past cars garage) were also 220m wheels only they were staggered and 19 inch and came as original equipment.
