what are these called?

I thought I had them identified at one point but now I can't find an image or a name... I'm looking for pins, like pushpins to put into a bulletin board, but they are straight pins with a small disc on them; the disc is in the middle of the pin, concentric, with the surface of the disk at an angle to the pin, not perpendicular... the idea being that you push this into the bulletin board/soft surface and you have the remainder of the pin sticking up/out at an angle to hang stuff but don't have to worry about the pin moving in/out because the disc is flat against the surface. Here is my attempt to draw one, looking at it from the "side" and from the "front" if it were standing straight up.

[I've tried all kinds of searches on stud/(push)pin/angled/disk/collar, to no avail]

I'm looking for an quick/easy way to display LOTS of license plates on the exposed foam insulation boards in my garage - and think these would be perfect.

Thanks.

Here's a thought, you can use any pin or small nail at an angle to hang them.

No idea op, but does anyone know what the hell is the stuff called women use to clean paint from their nails?

I've been trying to remember for three days but I'm bad with female vocabulary.

They're Arrow push pin picture hangers, not exactly pushpins, more like lightweight nails. Try searching that.

Hey haters - a man wants what a man wants in the garage. Ha!

All the best.

Yeah, this is my fourth language, everybody, including my Sa are so sick of me not being able to explain anything in this language, our chosen method of communication is them sending the mechanic out to come walk with me around my cars while I point out the problems, all parts seem to me named shitheads or fuckers.

If I could draw one bit, I'd be here asking the needed names too. My pantomime show is hilarious enough for others crowding my car to learn what my issue that time is. Not humiliating at all...

I tried texting that question to you earlier today, but I couldn't.

That's precisely what I was thinking of - knew I'd seen them somewhere. Unfortunately they're like 25-50 cents each, and I need 2 per plate, and I have hundreds of plates to display...

You'd think people here would understand that

That's probably what I'll end up doing. I was hoping those "push pin hangers" would be cheap since they would be easy to install at the same angle/height and would all be more likely to stay in place in the long run.

The other consideration is as my collection grows, or as I'm changing my mind about how to organize the display, I'd like to be able to easily rearrange the plates... hence my search for an "open ended" hanger solution. I literally have like 500+ plates and still acquire a few each month.

Why not small finishing nails and hang them thru the holes they fasten to the car with? They are all a standard spread so you move them around all you wanted. A box of mails costs very little.
