Guy catches mechanic taking his car to Taco Bell

If this was me I would ask for so much more from the dealership.

My mechanic knows my car and me. He knows where my car is used and how. If he did this, he'd know to tell the people in charge of the Starbucks to fix their drive through window route pavement.

I told my mechanic to go to town with mine, since the issues I asked to be fixed couldn't be found on a two mile test drive. Bmw is a bitch apparently with modded cars, and this is the feedback i have gotten:

The service adviser asks him out from the shop to come out and talk to me, since I can point out the part in question, even if I don't know the word in English.

My problems have been hard to figure out, since test drives for the miles I do, are not an option. My mechanic could take his whole family and his colleagues out for lunch in mine, and I'd be happy.

I would not be happy if someone drives my vehicle for a joyride without my permission.

Very wrong of the mechanics. The owner got $3.5K worth of work from the service center, gratis, seems like fair recompense to me.

That was the most haggard looking 350Z I've ever seen. He works two jobs just to afford it? The $3,500 worth of work he received probably would have rebuilt the entire car. I saw it's even missing a headlight. Awful.

He's a shift manager at a Taco Bell, not exactly a well paying job...as you can see since he works two jobs and clearly still can't afford to take care of his car.

I personally wouldn't give two shits if techs took my car out to grab lunch close by if they have to drive the car anyway to confirm an issue/fix or whatever. Guy was just looking for freebies since he clearly seems financially over-leveraged.

Upset sure, but that ungrateful little whiner is in serous need of a reality check, it's not THAT big of a deal really. If that happened to me, and I got a free $3k bill I would be completely happy. I bet he makes roughly $3k/mo or maybe a little less, so that's an ENTIRE MONTH SALARY FOR FREE. I hope he realizes how stupid he looks for his public response.

I do agree he overreacted since his car is a POS, but if it was one of our cars which is a 50-80k BMW I would be peeved
