First warranty repair

About 3 weeks ago I noticed some condensation in the rear right side light cluster. On closer inspection I noticed quite a large puddle sitting at the bottom of the indicator section, covering the LED's. See image below.

Apparently there was a back log of the part arriving from Germany but I finally got it fixed today. No after pics, but the new light cluster looks nice and shiny!

I have heard of a few people that have been affected by this issue, and in some cases both left and right clusters have been full of water.

Only once did the car give a bulb failure when indicating right, but I know someone that was getting the bulb failure message constantly.

Something to watch out for!

Re:

Mine goes in for this fault next month.

Hope the new parts don't go the same way.

Both clusters, or just the one side?

Thanks for posting this Z4 Beemer. Good idea to let others know that there might be a problem with rear lights. For the record, I had both rear light clusters replaced under warranty.
