A few Mods
Hey fellow Z owners,
Need your help regarding some mods I would like to do to my 11 35is. I am looking to increase power, get more torque and make it sound a little more like a sports car and if possible upgrade the suspension if I can still make use of the M suspension features in sport sport+. For now after researching and reading around I am getting the impression Esinemann is the better choice, I am looking to get the quad pipe, although not sure if I want to spend an extra 1000+ for the 3D rear diffuser. Is there any way to use the current M diffuser with the quad pipes. Also which is a proven good air intake. I am seeing the AFE cold air intake stage 2 as an option, although on the website this doe snot show as a part that would fit the Z4. Anyone know what the exact model number is that would fit our cars. Any other suggestions would be awesome. Thanks, Jake. |

You should buy the downpipes and the kwv3's that are for sale right now on this forum. Then get the off the shelf MHD tune and skip the intake. At some point you will also want to upgrade your intercooler and chargepipe. I have a chargepipe and BOV for sale if you are interested.
The chargepipe will crack at some point with higher boost. |

If you're looking to increase power, the first thing you need to get is a tune if you don't have one already. You'll get the biggest power gain just from a tune alone! Without a tune, you'll see virtually no gains from other mods, especially a cat-back exhaust or air intake. Those two mods will give you the least amount of power gain out of all the mods available... So if you'll looking for real power, you need a tune, cat-less downpipes, bigger intercooler, turbo inlets with new filter system, charge pipe and BOV... do things in that order, and you'll be in for a huge surprise

Thanks so much for all that input.
I am trying to stay away from a tune, I don't necessarily want to play with the cars software and such. I want to stick with changing the hardware. Also what would be the best springs/struts to change to while keeping EDS functionality. Honestly I want to get the maximum power/looks with changes to exhaust/intake/chargepipe. Thanks, Jake. |

KW V3 coilovers are just amazing and you can order them with EDCs, so no codes in dashboard

Will I still be able to use the sport and sport+ options with the EDC on the KW V3 coilovers. Also will the ride be too harsh in the Normal mode with the KW. I like the option of switching the ride quality via the EDC
Thanks. |

If you are going for suspension, I highly recommend my set up, see my signature. If you contact Sean@ Turnermotorsport he can take care of you, just mention Jake with the Blue Z4 and he should know. I ordered everything from him, except the Rogue bushings which I had to go direct for. For power, you can go from what Lambo said above… Feel free to pm me if you have questions. -Jake

You will be able to use the sport and sport + but I am not sure if it will be doing anything with coilovers. ( mine is not adaptive suspension so I do not have that knowledge )
Those coilovers are fully adjustable such as height comfort and cornering.

If you do catless downpipes then you will need a tune, or dp fix to avoid check engine light.

It so tempting to get a tune, but I also don't want to fail any inspections or have issues with the dealer for warranty work. Honestly I am pretty scared to see any check engine lights and such

The off the shelf maps are very conservative.

Anyone here installed the supersprint exhaust or the Milltek exhaust. I like the sounds of these two exhausts, they have a nice deep gurgle to them and they don't seem to be obnoxiously loud.
