What Stores do you avoid?

When driving your Z what stores do you avoid stopping at? We have all had that ding in the door then decided to park way way out only to come out with a super heavey duty jacked up 4X4 sitting next to it. Are there stores that are more prone to that type of behavior than others? Here is my short list.

1. Walmart
2. Local Grocery Store (Publix or Winn Dixie)
3. All Malls

I avoid Fashion Bug and Coldwater Creek when I drive my Z4. I also avoid those when I drive my wife's SUV. i also avoided those in my previous car, a Corvette. I guesa it really doesn't matter what car I'm driving.

Tried that but make no mistake there will be a F350 sitting right next to my car when the entire parking lot will be empty. Once i even got a hand written message that said something like.

"Yo sory fo da skratch, i aint got money fo it. Gime call at <eligible> n we werk it out."

I was like really? Looked around the entire car for 20 minutes didnt see anything and then looked for the hiddne camera because i know i got punked. Not a cool joke though. one scratch is hundred of dollars to repair.

I pick my diagonal parking spots that have no parking on the drivers side - always. At least that side remains prisite. At Walmart this means "way out there" & most Walmart shoppers are too f'ing lazy to walk from that far. This usually applies to other lots. People in general are lazy &/or fat. They'd rather circle the lot to avoid walking an extra 30 seconds.

I pretty much avoid em all.

I believe in fitting in to avoid being targeted and I realize that the Z doesn't really fit in many places

Here in San Diego I only take the Z to Del Mar, La Jolla, UTC, Encinitas, Rancho Bernardo, Scripps Ranch, Poway, Carlsbad

All other places I take another car or don't (want to or need to) go.

I think that its probably for the best that we all avoid hanging out at the Fashion Bug.

I thought that this thread was what stores to avoid, period, not when pertaining to our cars lol.

Well, I don't avoid any stores and always take my time to find the best parking spot w/ lowest chance of getting dinged. I have 1 small scratch on the driver side (no idea where I got it, probably due to the one time that I wasn't carefully selecting my parking spot) but that's about it.

+1 In supermarket car parks, I always park out of the way. We have a local supermarket where there are two levels of parking, I always park up top, even if it's raining, as most of the lazy shoppers would rather wait a couple of mins on the covered ground floor rather have to walk a bit further and get wet.

I usually park:
  • either far from the entrance,
  • or where there is enough space for cars next to me to easily open their doors,
  • or next to same class cars

Then, the final choice depends on the mood and the lot configuration.
If none of these options are available, I skip this store
