Go back to your cube.
I've dealt with your self-entitled C-title prick asses for a long ass time, too. You couldn't be on-call IT backoffice support and work those hours and deal with that kind of stress and quick thinking on your best day. You're the typical C-title who thinks no one but you puts in hours and can't past see his nose. So your paycheck goes up while the company you're entrusted with loses money. C-title is the best racket in the business world. I have an office, go back to yours, put your feet up, and let the rest of us who know what they're doing actually get shit done.

A bit surprised by my response? Look at my garage. That's not all I own. I'm a regular guy but I will not accept the stupidity you just evidenced in your attack on me.

I've done every crap job you can imaging and I can work your ass into the ground. Period.

How many patents do you hold?
How many times have you been published?

And here comes the "I have more money than you". This is what I wanted to draw out of you and I got it with ease. It was only a matter of time (and that time was short). You ever crawled into 12-in. pipeline to pull a pig out when it's 105 degrees outside? I have actually worked into the ground, asshat.

OP, good luck quitting whichever way you choose. Just remember, this is the type of guy is who's pushing the pills at you.

I've never smoked cigarettes, but my buddy did and quit using hypnosis. He has an addicted personality and told me after the hypnosis session he was done with cigs. Bam...done. No gum or anything else. He said he just didn't think about cigs anymore. Good luck, stay strong, and remember you're prolonging and increasing the quality of your life.

Do whatever you need to do. The same thing doesn't work for everyone. Don't let someone tell you X is the only way or Y is a scam. Find what works for you and do it. You are the master of your domain.

Smoking is for suckers.....keep it that way Op.
You have to not want to get cancer/emphysema/smell and the other horrible side effects ciggies bring.
Weight the pros and cons and you will see life is much more prosperous as a non-smoker.
Look at it this way.....cigarettes are trying to kill you.

Ive made the decision myself, for myself, by myself, just remember it's only my brain playing tricks and anyway who controls my brain? I do, not f-ing nicotine

I can do it, just take one hour at a time

If I've been without one for 3, 4, 5 hours what's another hour? F you nicotine

Now it's been a whole day, just try one more day without it

Now it's two days, the nicotine is out of my system

Now three days, I can smell again, I can taste again! Go find a smoker to remind myself of what I used to smell like. Yuk I used to smell like a dirty ashtray tramp

Come back to this thread for encouragement, let us know how many hours/days it's been, have a rant if you need to, stay strong, you can do it.

You will feel so much better about yourself.

Good choice good luck.

Finally, don't beat yourself up if you crack. Just promise yourself you'll try again very soon. It took three attempts for me to finally quit
Thank you for this. Well my last smoke was at 4pm today. the patch stayed on until 9:15 when I came home from work. Took a shower, no smoke, ate a little something no smoke. So for me to come home from a long day of work and not smoke then eat something and not smoke is big.

It's now 11:07 and I'm getting into bed no smoke before bed.

So tomorrow starts the first full day. When I left for work I made my girl throw out every single pack, lighter, ashtray everything. Came home they're gone don't want to know where thry are or if they are even still around the house.

I will say it was nice getting out of the shower and in bed and not smelling like smoke.

Tomorrow will be a FULL day with none. I was fine for the most part until about 9:30 when I was a little bored and wanted a cig.

I want to get past these next few days and just every night smile that I'm not smoking anymore.

Just to chime in..it really comes down to when you are done with the thing. Most people need some kind of vice...whatever it might be...and some are worse than others. I quit coke 12 years ago cold turkey...was just done with it. If you are at a point where you want to just move on, then it will be easy and almost a high in itself.
