++ Braking bad for Z4 DCT ++

I will drop my car with Shiv@Vishnu tomorrow.
We going to see how can he get in to the DCT and see how much torque it can handle.
Also how he can adjust the ECU to make the DTC brain accept the power before it release itself (maybe due to safety)

We will max out the power for stock turbo.
This should be the most potential to go highest horse power Z4 on DCT with no meth or NOS with stock turbo.

mod list
-Vishnu DCI
-HFP intercooler
-ER charge pipe
-AR cat-less downpipes
-Secondary Cat deleted
-exhaust has option to cut-out straight pipe using QTP (open pipe) (no other exhaust will have better flow than this)
-ECU piggyback by Vishnu Procede Rev3 V5 (or what ever newest)

At this point beside upgrading the turbo. I don't think I'm missing any mod in engine section. So it should put out to limit number for stock turbo.

I also have Defi gauge(can be recoarding) and will be monitoring how boost build up and spool. How stable is boost and boost targeting.

Will see number and result with in a week.

I'll keep you guys post on this so we have more input for members that might want to go hard.

Are you talking about how much until the clutches slip on the dyno, or how much long term use until the unit fails?

either way, you sir have a huge pair and a huge pocket book for playing checking with a $10,000+ part !

In DCT it has the torque sensor or something like that to let the clutch slip when power being put out too much.

We trying to play with that sensor.

see what's up.
We actually have the same hardware with the E9x m3 in DCT so I think this should be okay.

And I'm more than ready to blow this transmission for study and have input for others.
This car will be competition in GTA. if it doesn't hold power, I'm not going to waste time building this car.

Who knows it might be weak not even hit any 400 LOL.

i don't think bolt-ons and ecu remapping will reach the limit of the transmission. its the same transmission as the m3 with different software. you will break 400whp easily with all the mods you listed but thats still safe our this transmission. i have most of those mods with jb4 and havent have any transmission issue

this is the company that makes our transmission

Planing to run e85 super high boost.

They are some stock turbo with e85 already went over 500lbs on torque

I don't expect anything at this point. I will share result.

there is 335i on stock turbo hit 485 on dynojet and almost 560lbs ft on torque.

That will set our DCT to so to limp mode(basically not engage to safe the tranny)

Let's see what up

Hey, that's awesome news... I just hate those slips, when DCT can't handle the torque... I have the same mods as you, so I'm feeling you.
Hope you will have the solution

Thx for pioneering

Ahem ..... Why not spend a little extra and buy a custom ECU tune instead? I mean, instead of "playing" with a sensor, a tuner who knows how to program the ECU could simply raise the limits in the software instead. In this way all of the OEM safety features are still available in case of something else misbehaving.

Maybe I got a selective memory, but I think we have seen enough examples of piggyback solutions not working too well with our DCT cars.

Basically I throw my car in for study.
So later people with DCT (335is ,some 135i,M3) has more input for what piggy bag can do to DCT.

I have plan to go with ssp upgrade tranny anyway.

It's not about spend a little extra money.

We already discussed about single turbo 650whp on pump gas with ssp clutch upgrade.

Money proly not an issue at this point.

Anyway... what would be your recommend custom ECU ? Motec ?
