Hi guys, sorry for reviving this old thread. I just have a little simple question.
I have been trying to find sources to bring in the BMW Performance BBK and I have come across this 2 companies. 1) http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462 Quote:
I did an inquiry for the getbmwparts.com website and they gave me the dimensions for the shipment as 20*15*13 and weighing about 65lbs. However on the Turner Motorsport website they have their shipping dimensions as 24 X 24 X 24 and weight as 82.00. Does anyone know if they are any different from each other? It's my first time ordering from either companies and would like opinions from you guys . |

While the BBK does require larger wheels, all BMW 17" wheels will fit, while some aftermarket 17" wheels will not work. It is not the offset that is the issue, it is how for out the caliper sits. This is the same issue some folks had trying to fit non-BMW 17" wheels for their Winter package and finding the wheels jammed against the caliper (BMW wheels are recessed to clear). Not sure how the US models are set up, but we have 3 models in Europe with 3 different [somewhat] brake setups on the 23i, 30i and the 35i. Front rotors [and calipers] are sized by model, but the 23i and the 30i share rear rotors, while calipers, pads, master cyl etc are shared across all 3 models. Model Front Rotor Rear Rotor 23i 300x24 300x20 30i 330x24 300x20 35i 348x30 324x20 328i Performance Brake Kit rotor is 338x26 Last edited by ChuckB; 01-30-2012 at 03:37 PM.. Reason: clarification |

Not sure, but I have seen some people fitting a kit for the rear and losing the E brake all together, I cant opt for that since i drive an manual.
I am considering a swap to the BMW Performance for front brakes, mainly because I don't feel its worth it doing upgraded pads and rotor on my stock 35i us spec brake. it looks rather poor and tiny, and not cheap doing the upgrade either.

Did they fit the BMW performance or fit other brand.
I'll ditch the E-brake and I already know how to bypass it. My concern is only will the bolt-on. Have you really seen one done with BMW performance brake in rear ? I search and search and search and I can't even find picture. Quote:
