carbon,
will you get angry at me if I say that your Z looks better in the original rims!

not at all.

i appreciate your opinion but it is my car and i really love the new rims. i would never change it again.

unfortunately it is really freezing outside and 20 cm of snow and i cannot drive to your garage to drop it and take better pics so you can see that it looks stunning.

Hi ///carbon,
already saw your pictures in the zroadster.com forum (posted by your friend with the E85).
I asked him if it is possible to get one of the pics in high quality as a wallpaper for my PC. Especially the picture in message #16 of this thread is very nice.

I would only use it for personal purposes.

Sorry, I cannot write PMs here since I am new to this forum.
Regards,
Ulf

no doubt that your car is so amazing and and believe me I'm a fan of it and of all the picture you've taken so far so can't wait to see new ones with the new rims taken somewhere into vienna's majestic landscape.
ah, I forgot to mention that what I don't like form the pics of the new rims is that the car looks like having no tires!
the rubber barely shows 1 or cm max in height right? are these 20" or more?
interested to know how Z adaptive suspension is gonna perform with these rims.

thank you my friend...

the rubber is 25 in the rear and 30 in the front. it just looks small as the rims are huge. they are 20".

the suspension performs exactly the same like with the 19" oem rims. there is no difference. the only difference i could figure out was that the 20" rubber feels (a bit) more confortable than the 19" RFTs...

wow, 20" with non RFT is more comfortable than 19" with RFT!
one more clue on how bad the RFTs are compared to normal tires.

It's true; wheels are sexy; not going to lie!

Do you think 19's are an adequate size for the wheel I posted? I think while they are common; they will be sexy on the Z. What I'm afraid of is cracking the rim; cuz NYC is filled with potholes

i think in 19" they would look really HOT.

what do you think about these:

if i would buy a second set of rims i would go for these.

Those look nice as well; although I'm not sure if the Z could pull off the concave in the back. The 3er looks absolutely sexy in those shoes tho!

soo many choices ! I love them all. Do you know how much those wheels run for?

i think you are right. on the Z4 you can go for 10", but not more.

not sure how much it could be but a set of multipiece forged wheels will cost about 4000 USD i think. depends on the manufacturer.

tbh; what I really wanted was a pair of ADV's however; we discussed it for a few days. Eventually picked 18s in gloss black and all; was waiting for a price and its been a week since I've last heard from them..... Started looking elsewhere; talk about shitty. Those wheels i posted (Rennen), can be had for about 3k.

Yea; the service confirmed that for me; while they provide aesthetically pleasing wheels; they are still the same people. Guess my money wasn't good enough for them! Oh well; how are the Rennens on terms of strength, reliability, etc?

Also since these are my first pairs of shoes on any of my cars; will it require any modifications like spacers? Or is it gunna be a simple replace the wheels and play!

your money is too good for them in my opinion.

actually i do not have any idea how the quality is. they provided some strength certificate but it seem so me like written in word and forwarded by mail. there is no authority confirming any strength. i do not how america is in these terms. if the authorities demand any certification from the car owners before mounting the rims on the car. austria is very strict so i will have to go through some certification process as soon as it becomes warmer and i drive the car.

these are custom built rims and you should not require spacers or something else. the manufaturer is supposed to know the specs of your car and should be able to build the rims to fit perfectly flush.

Hmm true; Long lasting wheels are what I am looking for; but I dont know how Rennen handles in that department. Last thing I need is some wheel that will last me a few months or so and then die on me

well, if there are any problems there are forums where you can help yourself if the wheel manufaturer declines any warranty.

the last thing they want is negative feedback about their service and quality.
