Mrs Tonka got a flat front tire in the middle of a turn today. Went down low side pretty hard. Getting shoulder X-rays now. Hope it's just sore.

 You know that I can know how it feels... Shoulder is one of weak parts when our body hits the ground on a bike ! When the shoulder is broken you always hear a loud crack noise. This make me think again on my 4 years of competition when my rear tire exploded while we drove + 50-60 km/h in the peleton ! Probably I drove over a little sharp rock on the road..and the noise was like KABOOM ! While it happened I took 6 other cyclists down with me... Later ...I wook up in the ambulance while they pulled little rocks out of my skin, still see some scars today  I went also down in summer sliding on asfalt and that hurts like hell , because it makes burn marks on the skin ! Ankles and elbows....Ough !!! Sir I really hope the best for your wife , and I wish her a speedy recovery .. Please let me know how the result was from her X-rays..  It was pretty low speed, maybe only 15mph, but pavement never feels good. X-rays are negative but need to be evaluated by a radiologist to be certain. (so nothing obvious) Does have some road rash but seems to be ok otherwise. Helmet is a little scratched up, not a big impact.

Oh by the way @///M Power-Belgium - I had some Belgian and German beers last weekend. Sadly, old Am Bi didn't rate high enough for the pub to offer it on their fairly extensive list. I checked - just for you.
But I did have some Delirium Tremens which was pretty good among a few others. My wife had to tell me the meaning of the name though - I thought it was just a unique name, now that I know, its actually a neat name for the beer. |
