DIY maintenance question...
My 2013 35i has 42k miles and will be running out of dealer maintenance soon. Since it's not close enough to BMW-specified service interval for plugs and air filter change, it looks like that will be on my dime and I plan on changing them myself in the near future. My question is will I get service reminders down the road when the system determines this work needs to be done that I will then have to respond to in some manner to reset the maintenance reminders for those items?

Yes that's exactly right. When you get close enough the idrive will notify you it's time to change the plugs (air filter is not in the service folder in the idrive). Just reset it and you're good for another 45k.
Here's a link to resetting if you don't know how https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...tqCHL02u-0i8cc
