CTMfree/TVfree/TVactive by Prochip

I think the CTMfree/TVfree/TVactive needs its own thread!

I have the CTMfree (Cabrio Top Module modifier) now and it works perfectly .

Now i can open/close the top up to 40 Km/h (25 mph, yes, it works on US models).

No more "honks" and "beeps" from other cars when you decide to open the top at the redlights! just drive away and gracefully open the top....... it!

And the best of all is that i didn't have to mess with pulling cables and hiding stuff. Just as easy as with the TVfree and TVactive from Prochip.

If there is an interest for a group-buy let me know and i will try to set up a good deal.

To clarify: This is an "plug-activate-unplug" device. You will not have any kind of "module" left in the car after you used it! You reprogram via the OBD2 connection in your car.

How does it work? Do you attach the device to the OBD thing and program it and then unplug it or is it a module you have to physically install? If it is a simple download, then I am in.

Hi flpnout,

You attach it, press a button and unplug it.

If you change your mind for any reason. You attach it again, press the other button and remove it.
Then you are back to standard Vmax for top operation.

Time and time again until you're flipping out! Sorry!

Ok I want that module and the one for the TVfree that makes the NAvi screen play DVD while in motion. If you can include that for me that would be great. Thanks for the clarification SHADOW4. I'm in for group buy.

This is the kind of technology I like best. Almost idiotproof.
And no cutting wires.

If we can add the mirror fold on lock / unlock (or something similar) and be sure that the mod does not impact comfort access and the operation of the top with the key fob then count me in too....

I am happy to announce an special offer from Prochip.

They will include "folding mirrors" in the CTMfree device ONLY to forum members joining a goup-buy of minimum 10 devices.

The folding mirrors works like this: When you want the mirrors to fold when you lock the car, you press and hold the "BMW Logo-button" until the mirrors starts to move, wich the will do just a fraction of a second after the car has locked, then you can release it. The mirrors will continue to fold.

If you only want to lock your car (without folding the mirrors) you just press the button as before.

PM me if you want to know more or join the groupbuy!

How about for people who have comfort access? I never touch the remote and just have to rub the door lock to lock the car...

Hello Rafale,

The mirror unfolds when you touch the handle to unlock the car if you have folded them by the keyfob.

They will not fold if you lock the car by touching the area under the keyhole.
This is because you should be able to get out of the car and do a quick errand without the mirrors doing their dance everytime you go out and in the car.

Most people have asked for the possibility to operate the mirrors with the keyfob and that has been implemented in CTMfree for forum groupbuyers.
