2014 models and iDrive version 4.22

Anyone know if 2014 models at this point are now shipping with the updated iDrive version 4.22 yet?

If that's the new upgraded interface for idrive then yes. When I went to preorder one that's the brochure of the idrive system they gave me.

I'd check because I saw an LCI a few weeks ago and it had the old interface... Its shipping in most F series cars now, but I'm not sure it is in E series.

No, its new hardware as well as software. It would be a full retro fit and tbh its not that much different.

How can you tell which software version you have installed? I have a 2014 Z4.

I should be taking delivery of my as-of-April ordered 2014 IS very shortly (in the next few weeks), I'll let you know what I find when I do.

Sure it wasnt a 2013 (the first year of the LCI)? That still had the old idrive. The BMW website has the new idrive in their brochure for the 2014 year model available for download.

I have Nav, in my 2014 Z-4 - its the old version with the red box around the selection, not the red aura -
