E89 Fuse Box Map / Reference

I found it a little frustrating that the map to the fuse box was so difficult to find (not in the user manual / not readily accessible online), so here it is. Hopefully, this will get indexed and become searchable from the outside.

The piece of paper is clipped on the shell of the fuse box. I was convinced I did not have it in my car and only found it accidentally. And it is ridiculously difficult to decrypt for some of the items... It takes some guessing Seriously what was BMW thinking?

Yeah, that's frustrating. The paper was small enough that its easy to not see it / misplace it (did I put it back in there? Did I stick it in the manual?) The hieroglyphics are a treat too "I don't know try the sprocket one"... "which one?" "The one that looks like a gear"... "got it"...

Yes, I was just in there when I modified mine to be hot at all times. Fuse #8 is for both cigarette lighter receptacles. (+ is the symbol.

for the trunk/cargo and glove compartment light? is it the 77 or 07, 62? Both went out as I'm trying to pull out the bulb of the cargo while its on. I tried to replace it with other bulbs but unsuccessful. all other interior lights are working.

Which one is the courtesy light? Is it 77? I am trying to wire puddle lights so it lights up every time I unlock the car.

cruise control not working

Anyone know which is the cruise control fuse? Looks like there's a symbol in the map but there's no corresponding fuse number location to it.

So recently when I press the cruise control button, normally an icon lights up saying its ready to engage and the needle has a following ticker in red. But now it is not doing anything at all, so I'm thinking it may be a fuse??

Other notable things:
2013 Z4 35i
Currently has "Service Inspection" due (Could this be disabling my Cruise Control?)

If you are driving in sport+ mode, cruise control does not work.

Does anyone know the difference between the two fuses for steering? I want to disable the EPS sensors/programming without turning off basic assist from the motor (if that is possible)!

I know that, it's not working on comfort or sport modes. Anyway, I brought my car in to the dealer already and they can't seem to figure it out either. They said they will get back to me tomorrow...

Just been checking on mine and noticed a slight difference.
So this is the layout for the UK 23i e89,along with the fuse ratings.

Sorry it's a bit big but wanted to make sure it was readable

Hi gents,

I have a question regarding the fuse for the 12 V outlets. Is the #8 fuse for both 12 V outlets (centre console + under glove compartment)?

I can confirm that it is for the outlet under the glove compartment coz i have changed the fuse when that particular outlet did not work. But now... my outlet at the centre console is not working but the one under glove compartment is fine.

If both utilise only one fuse (#8), then it would mean that my 12 V outlet itself needs replacement.

So i blew the fuse 8 the 12v when using an air pump on one of my wheels. I was wondering how easy is it to access this under the glove box and lastly I can just pick up this fuse from any good automotive store correct as apposed to the speakership?

No fuse box under govebox

Hi all

I'm looking for fuse 48 to check my washer motor that isn't working.
I went under the govebox and opened up the cover tray to find the fuse diagram. Yay. Not really. No fuse box anywhere. Lots of cables but no box. Seriously !

I've checked under the hood and in the battery compartment in the boot.

Where is it guys ?
