Sport / Sport+ display on iDrive screen?
I have seen that on 5 / 7 series when a different mode for "Dynamic Driving Control" is selected, for example, "SPORT" or "SPORT+", then the mode selected will be displayed on the iDrive screen briefly.
Does anyone know if the E89 Z4 can also display the selected driving mode in the same way?

Nope, not on the Z4. Although the 5ers and 7ers seem to get the goodies first so it might show up in one of the idrive future firmware upgrades on the new Z's

Not on the Z4 yet that I know of but yes I've seen and tried this on the 5 series. It allows you to choose if you want the mode to alter just steering and throttle or just suspension or both. I like this as a gripe I have is that my suspension hardness is not controllable independently of the steering and throttle.

Be sure to check out the suspension discussions and look at the Carly app to check error codes and makw changes to lighting, idrive, etc |

This option is on the newer version of the CIC display - one that we never got. Can;t retrofit either - since the question will likely get asked.
One thing I wish BMW would do, make these systems modular like the original NAV systems. You could upgrade the CD based systems with 3 versions, or go straight to the DVD based. |

Yeah, well you'll be getting a bunch of other stuff with the upgrade...
But I think that it's not a matter of it being worth it or not, because at the end of the day no retrofit is worth the money you are spending.. it's about how much you want it or not |
