Rear spoiler

I have been debating on istalling a rear spoiler on my 2011 35is. I want something that flows with the lines of the car. Anyone have pictures of spoilers on an Alpine white Z4. Also suggestions on quality also greatly appreciated....

Thanks....

That looks good, although I would like to keep white.

That spoiler looks nice and adds flair. I always thought that our rear end looks kinda plain. It has to be functional though. I dislike aesthetics just for looks w/ no form.

JL Motoring

Based on the experiences that I have read about JL Motoring on other BMW forums,I would be very careful in dealing with them. It appears the parts are of a poor quality and customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

I love my cheap ebay lip. less then $50, comes painted to your factory color and I think it flows great with the lines of the Z.

Sorry for the shitty photo's. I will get some photos in the sun this weekend.

Looks good, especially for $50!

The only ones I could find on eBay was a $350 CF one or a $200 FRP one, both from China. $50 sounds like a good deal I would jump on top of!

Do you have a link to the item or the seller?

Sorry I was wrong. It was $36.99 with free shipping

When i purchased it I figured if it was garbage or looked bad I wasn't out much. I really like it because it's small and looks clean. The paint match was good as well. I left it in the sun to get it good and warm before attaching it.

Longboard's looks pretty good. If you have any far away photos like the other previous ones, that would be great to see how it shows up.

Do you guys think it serves any function besides looking good?

Be careful about the 3rd brake light. Some of these sit too high and you have to add that kit to the 3rd light so it can be seen clearly from behind so people driving low cars like our own do not know you have started to brake.

Very tempting!! I'd like to see a rear shot - regarding the 3d brakelight. but barring that, it looks awesome.

I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow from the rear. No worry about the third brake light. It's small and subtle but adds a nice look.

Please do. Looking for a subtle spoiler for our Z4. I like the look of the 3D Design one, but, like all 3D stuff, it is $$$.

i got the 3d style carbon fiber lip installed. exactly the same from the first pictures. about 350 from china. careful about how they ship this thing. mine came with one of the tips pocking out of the protective wrap. a little scratched but looks fine after a bit of sanding.

Longboard, do the adhesive pads cause the spoiler to be raised above the trunk lid, or does it sit flush?

Exactly. I installed my BMW Performance carbon fiber spoiler on the M3 with 3M tape instead of Betalink. You cannot see the tape at all now and it feels rock solid.
