Cheap EZ Clutch Stop
I have had an issue with the long clutch travel and this fixed my problem. I picked these chair sliders up (see pic) and super glued 4 of them to the original stop, now the car starts about a 1/2" from them and it no longer seems too long of a throw, made shifts smoother and I no longer need to be conscious of how far I put the clutch in-one less thing to think about during spirited driving.

The usual easy clutch stop solution that's been around for years is the $1.58 elevator bolt from Lowes along with a couple of nuts to secure it in place. The pads you have there can be added to the top of the bolt to make it quieter. It's much stronger than a stack of superglued pads and is easily adjustable.

Rest of world might not be able to access the link, i can't.
But interesting from a seat adjustment view as i find my seat is probably more forward than necessary to apply full clutch travel when it might not actually be required. |
