De-lurking to show you my new ride!

Hi Everyone!

I've been lurking in this forum(intimidated by some of the tech talk) since purchasing my new '09 Z4 sDrive 35i.
Options:Premium package, 7-speed double clutch transmission, sport seats, ipod integration.
My baby's just got past it 1200 miles break-in period.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their informative posts, I've learned so much about the car from this forum!

I tried to attach pictures but this is the notice I received "Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing or mismatched."

Thanks KrisNL! No pics with the top down yet as it's been too hot to drive with it down during the day. I've taken her out in the evenings for the drive on Pacific Coast Hwy from Santa Monica to Malibu and it's been great.

Hi Rolf-Deiter! Thank you
My local dealer had just 2 of the '09s left: a black with tan interior and the deep blue sea with white interior( 50 miles odometer). I think the blue shows off the sexy lines of the car and the white leather interior is such an nice contrast. Plus it happens to be the car shown on the cover of the Z4 brochure! I got a good deal on it too.

Welcome. Nice color combo.

I can tell you washed the car, then took the photo before driving it, as the rotors are rusty. Using the brakes the first couple of times while driving gets the temporary rust off.

Hi Dr Stig 2 from Austalia, or should I say "G'day"
It's nice that my Z4 has a twin brother.

BlueZ4AZ, I did not even noticed the brake dust in the pictures
But you're right, it seems to be gone now.

It's rust in the pictures. Rust from the water that dries on the rotors after washing the car.

Sounds familiar, I was in Germany in May of 2009 and my car (same exterior color) was displayed in the BMW Museum See Here So I fell in love with it

When I got back I found one (a 2008 Z4 30is) then traded it in last May for my now Z4 35i also saved a bunch of money. Always wise to purchase last years model. After all not much change between a 2009 and a 2010.

Drove that stretch of Coastal Highway (LA to Origin) 2 weeks ago on my mega US trip was much fun.

Enjoyed looking at your pictures on the link. I just visited the northern Ca coast recently mid July, in a rental car because I didn't want to put so many miles on my new car yet. Did you visit the drive-through Redwood tree or Trees of Mystery? Did you drive the Lost Coast Hwy? We drove almost 1700 miles in 1 week.

Yes I sure did Here have a peek

Some one took my picture. I drove thru the same tree 17 years ago with my then 1987 BMW 535is (that we still have in the family). The Coastal Highway is I think one of the nicest drives in North America. It was great fun. I'll do it again in a heartbeat
