• Plug USB stick in the glove box USB-port of your E89
• Press ignition
• Choose "Navigation" / "Saved Routes" / "Import Routes" / "USB" / "OK" (as translated from my German user manual )

I know this thread is years old, but i just gotta say mega thanks for mentioning this app!!!

After arguing with BMW for 5 months about their shitty BMW Routes website not working, this app worked first time!!!! :thumb sup:

this one is even better and easier to use, its by the same company. if you pay for the gold subscription you get lots more options
