VRSF vs AR Design Downpipes

Where does the extra $300 come in to play on the AR downpipes?

I have been trying to find a reason they charge more, but I have had no luck.

That was my thinking. I wanted to ask to be sure I had the same opinion as other folks out there.

Thank for the reply, I saw you had them and I figured they would be fine.

From my readings I believe the non-z4 downpipes fit. You just need to rotate the flange and weld.

If installing downpipes, anyone's, be ready for super tight fit. You are running a lot of pipe through a small space and clearance will be minimal. Also every car is not exactly identical. Not every pipe is exactly identical. Install the pipes, shift them around before they are tightened. If necessary, put a small crowbar on them. Don't be afraid to kink a pipe a little bit with a crowbar if necessary. Won't hurt anything.

Another tip...

I replaced a tall torx head bolt with a simple hex head
To gain another couple mm.

Solid info guys, thanks much!!

I just sold my home and bought a new one and I am about to build a garage so all mods are on hold. However, the new garage will have a lift in it and that will make for this type and other work a lot easier!!!
